velvet space is a new coworking and event location in the heart or Munich. It combines greatest centrality with a quiet and personal working atmosphere. At velvet space, emphasis is placed on individual design, attention to detail, open communication and hospitality so that members feel comfortable and welcome.
The aim was to build a place that is neither big nor anonymous, but rather offers a personal and café-like atmosphere, that creates proximity to the members, fulfills the comforts of home, but where you are still able to get your work done.
The coworking location is equipped with individual furniture and as the name velvet space implies, there are many velvet elements throughout the design. The space is greened with many plants, custom made wooden tables and small details like the self painted fridge or the kitchen top that originally was the old dance floor of the Gärtnerplatztheater, bring individual charm and local reference to the rooms.
velvet space is located in the middle of the university district, right on the well-known Amalienstraße in close proximity to the subway station Universität (U3 / U6), as well as the bus stops Türkenstraße (153/154) and Amalienstraße (68/100). Due to the hidden backyard location members benefit from a quiet working atmosphere, but still enjoy the advantages of the vibrant Maxvorstadt with all its trendy bars, cafes and the Eisbach on the doorstep.
Flexibility and customer focus are paramount at velvet space, as close attention is paid to the needs of the members and tailor-made solutions are offered. Many appreciate the 10 day pass model. It grants ten entries during the opening hours, which can be redeemed individually over several months – no monthly commitment and maximum flexibility. Transparency is a big part of #thevelvetwayofwork, as the packages are almost all inclusive with fair-use printing, a beverage flat rate and 24/7 access.
Apart from the 10 day pass model, there are also monthly memberships: hot desks, dedicated desks and private offices. Last but not least also externals have the opportunity to host workshops, meetings and events.
